hello all,
i'd like to get the holes in my bumper (from a front license plate) filled and have the bumper then repainted. i'd also like to buy an aftermarket front grill which would require paint. however i'm quite conerned with (a) the price of the paint job and (b) whether or not the paint will match the rest of the car correctly given my car (and therefore the paint job) are 5 years old. i recently used a Lexus scratch paint of original factory color to fill a scratch and it's not even close. the car's been taken care of, but i assume there is a natural fading regardless of wax after 5 years.....how much do you figure the job would cost and will it match?
thanks!

To really get a good match not too visible to the eye....you probably should consider painting the parts your are modifying or adding as well as blending them into the nearby panels. A good quality bodyshop and a good job will not be cheap. I estimate you're looking a 3 to 400 dollars if you plan on doing the entire bumper and the grill by itself. You would want the bumper to be removed from car when painting. You will also find that the bumper needs to be carefully prepared and rocks chips taken care of before paint is applied. Don't rush this...you will regret it and end up doing it again. Do it right the first time!
Good luck!
