Post 2004 Lexus GS-series

Details on next generation Lexus GS-series
Lexus Quattro? Hmmmm.

The next GS comes in 2004 but as a 2005 model.

One of the reasons for the delay is because all GS's will have an AWD option.

Look for the car to be more radically styled than the previous, more conservative version.

Pictures coming soon.....so sty tuned

Default 3rd Gen

I keep hearing all this good stuff but sure would be nice to get someone with proof to speak up. There's gotta be others like me that are ready to go new again with either the next gen GS or something else. I want to stay Lexus but wish info was shared a little easier to make my decision to stay with Lexus quicker. Would hate to get to a point of having to make a different choice in case I have to make that choice without all the info on the new model.

Cool

Will need more horsepower for AWD because it slows things down in 0-60 (at least when the road is dry.) Maybe it is because it makes the car heavier.

I just cannot wait to see the new GS. I have to admit the AWD option is very intriguing. After the winter we just had in NY, AWD would be a MAJOR addition to an already great car.

Hopefully the AWD will not add too much weight. The Mercedes version, for instance, is said to only add 200 lbs of weight. We'll see with Lexus.

Hey. Remember all the hype about the 2nd gen GS (the one we have)? Or the first gen! Remember all the preview pics etc.

You don't? CAUSE THERE WASN'T ANY! Lexus hides their model almost better than anyone.

No kidding, eh...

Hey, you guys in Torrance...keep a digicam in your car! Lexus HQ is there and I heard some people saw the SC430 a couple of months before it came out....or maybe they were lying...

my question is: assuming that there will be a 2004 in the current look, what if any changes will there be ? I don't think that the 2003 had any, only stuff now included as standard. Are they really gonna go 4 years (2001-04) without ANY real refreshing ? I guess you could call the SportDesign one, and the perforated seating was already done on the 2000 Platinum.

I just hope they differentiate the GS3 from the GS4 more so in terms of body and styling rather than just engine size

I know there is alot of speculation (and a lot of posts) about the next GS and its various options, but has anything been confirmed?

Default November '03????

I currently own an SC430 and was at the Lexus dealership yesterday purchasing an RX300. I asked the salesman about the new GS. He was one of the more knowledgeable salesmen I've dealt with re: the Lexus line. He said the newly styled GS will be introduced this November as a 2004 model. I know the answers we've been getting are all over the board, but that's the latest info I have.

Manaray knows what's up. :-)

I'm here in Torrance and actually saw two cars which were not made public yet. One was the new TRD truck with the weird taillights and the other was the RX330.
