Hey guys, I need to replace my upper radiator hose, it's leaking slightly and causing water to steam from the engine slightly, no overheating. I've never done anything as far as radiators and coolant, it seems simple enough, I will need to drain it from the bottom then simply change the hose? Can anyone tell me the amount of coolant and water to put in, it's a 99 gs300. I could not find a diy on it so any help is appreciated!

It typically depends on the fluid you purchase, usually its either 50/50 or premixed. You can tell by looking on the labels or the instructions printed on the bottle. But like what I said it all depends on the brand and type of fluid you decide to go with. I would personally go with the Toyota red fluid that your vehicle was originally equipped with. Which you can call into the parts department at any local Toyota dealership for pricing or you may possible be able to find it online somewhere.
