sfino, I'm assuming you're car is a GS? I'm not sure if it would simply be a ecu issue because theres plenty of other reasons i have heard of for no starts. Sounds like one of those haywire issues dealing with current/electric system like when some of my speakers go out in my scion tc until i push the power lock button then it jumps back on.

Heres a little video to help you run down a checklist of things. Other than that i would always start with a scanner and physical/visual check on things.

Yes, '05 GS430. At first I suspected it was the remote start/alarm system, but I've since undone the splices that were made to the ignition cylinder and nothing happens still. When I try to start it, I hear the typical humming noise (the brake booster I believe, or fuel pump priming) and then when I turn the key to on, nothing happens. No relay or starter clicking sounds or anything. I can see the clock lights dimming like it's trying to start, but no starter noises. I'm going to check continuity at the ignition cylinder next. Is there a way to maybe force the car to start by jumping the starter relay manually with the key in the ON position?

They even have a “pops and bangs” tune that looks like a lot of fun. If you wanted them to do everything on the menu to a 2JZ or 1UZ/3UZ the total cost is around $500. If you haven’t had your ecu serviced, then you should look into it. If you wait till the capacitors start leaking then you will have to find a replacement and if you go used, you’ll want to get it serviced before using it.
What the.. I thought the 1UZ ECU was still uncracked? I only ever hear about how the 1UZ isn’t turbo’d or SC’d due to the inability to tune the ECU. They say the ECU eventually wipes any tune that you get on it, as far as fuel trims go.

Really wish I bought a 430 instead of a second 400 now
