Default 98 gs400 passenger door won't lock

When I press the lock button or unlock button on my key, my passenger door will not lock or unlock but all other doors do. What is the problem? Please help.

Do you think this part would work to fix it? http://m.ebay.com/itm/171368995645?nav=SEARCH

I have a 01 GS430 and that means we share many common fixes including this one I have personally just completed myself. as previously stated, 99% of the time this is the actuator gone bad. I had the same symptoms as you, when I pressed lock on the fob, it would lock all doors except my rear passenger door. I would have to lock it manually in order for the alarm to activate and the lights to dim. there is a very good tutorial on here, I forget who and what it was called, but if you really need it get back to me and Ill try to help you out. What I can tell you is this: I took my rear door apart, detached my lock mechanism (which contains the actuator), separated the actuator from the assembly, pried the casing apart, and replaced the motor inside with a $4.50 Mabuchi motor from eBay. Lexus actuator is the whole assembly, and runs in the neighborhood of $150-180. You do the math. If you buy the right part, its pretty much plug and play, although I recommend buying a mini gear puller to assist in the swapping of the worm drive gear that transfers from old motor to new. Anyways, the motor you need to buy is available on eBay, at least as of my fix just done in May 2015. The motor is called Mabuchi FC-280PC-22125. You can buy similar ones with a shaft collar, but for the door actuator all you need is one with a smooth shaft. DIYS available on here for most of this, including nice pics, and you can also find videos on youtube, but I think you have to search for gs300 actuator replacement DIY not GS400 like you model. it's broken down pretty much step by step, just for the front motors. same logic applied when I did the back ones. holla at me if you need more help.
