Talking I finally got my GS!!!

Guys and Gals first off I would like to Thank You all in helping me make what I think is one of
the best car buying decisions I have made to date.

I picked up my 01' GS430 (ML, 17in, spoiler, Mil sil / Blk ) today.

My first Mod question is wheel selection...I like the gun metal finished wheels
can someone direct me to a mil silver gs with gun metal finished wheels on it
so I can get an idea what it looks like? or maybe even a website...

Thanks

Congratulations!! You might want wheels first, but ~$1K will get you L-Tuned (now likely just known and shipped as TRD) springs and shocks and will markedly change your handling for the better with essentially no deterioration in ride comfort (while also lowering 1.25", which improves the appearance, too). Whereas bigger wheels/lower profile tires will provide better looks and possibly more ultimate cornering grip (and there is a lot of stick with the stock 17s, more than almost anyone can use safely anywhere other than a track) but will still be kneecapped by the willowy, queasy, limp stock suspension. Plus, your ride will def be stiffer, but without much of the handling benefit (see above).

Even if you were going to go lower with different springs/shocks/coilovers, I'd get them first. You might look better with the wheels, but only until you pogo off the first dip or over the first whoop-de-do in the road..........

However, it's YOUR LEXUS!!!! Do what makes you feel best first!! Again, congratulations!

This is my ride and it will give you a very good idea of the change from stock to L-tuned suspension/springs mod https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=75832

lets see........wheels maybe you should try searching in the wheel/rims forum maybe someone is saleing something you may like.........but i would get some HRE 19" 546 or 543 in blk with polish lip or gun metal...those are the two wheels that I would choose.
