Unhappy Please help... Starts then shuts off

hey can anyone help me out? my wife was driving the other day and her gs300 just shuts off and wonldnt start. I thought it was the fuel pump so i replaced it, now it starts and run for 1 second then dies (even when i have my foot on the throttle) now replaced iacv and still the same...The only work the car has had done so far are valve gaskets and usual tune ups, nothing major.... Puzzled and very frustrated... Does anyone have any ideas, please help?

Default hmmm

unplug the mass air flow sensor and than see if it starts. did you recently perform any work on the car like the valve cover gaskets you spoke of? Was the car driving after you did that work? go buy a little pocket scan tool from the parts store and see if theres any codes.

Default ???

than there is a very large vacuum leak into the engine after the mass air flow sensor. a smoke test will need to be performed to find the leak. if that test passes than replace the mass air flow sensor with a denso part not aftermarket and see how it does. the vsc light is because the computer is not registering a maf signal which the abs module needs for proper traction control.

hey can anyone help.

I did a cylinder head replacement & then a tuneup (changing out all the spark plugs and wires).

After putting everything back together the car ran for a day and after starting it back up the next day the vehicle now shuts off right after startup.

I went back over everything and can't find what is causing the issue.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this issue?

Check the connectors for the coil packs and replace those pigtails.

update! went back over the engine and the timing belt and its perfect.
attempted to turn the car on and it turned on and I drove it about 25 miles. I shut it off and now I can't turn it back on.
I think the issue is the Crank Position Sensor, does this sound right to anyone?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

ok, no problem i'll give that a shot also.

for educational purposes, what makes you think it's the connectors for the coil pack or the pigtails?
