Hi all, recently got error code P1520, Stop Lamp Switch Malfunction. Brake lights don't work and car is stuck in Park. Fuses all seems ok, unless it's some other random fuse which I'm missing. Replacing the switch (at tope of brake pedal) doesn't fix the issue. Curious if anyone has any suggestions. Otherwise it's a trip to the dealer...

Other than the stop light switch, all I can think of is a wire shorting out somewhere or worse case the body control module taking a shat Which switch did you change, the stop light or the shift interlock?

Can you shift out of park when you press the shift override?

I figured it out... thank goodness. The ONE fuse that I missed or didn't notice, clearly labelled STOP. It's in the cabin, drivers side. Blasted thing was burnt out. One of my LED tail light bulbs was causing the fuse to blow. Feel like a total idiot in the end that I missed it.

Lesson learned, AGAIN!
