GS300 ECU vs Aristo ECU - 661 Missing Traction Control?
I made sure to get an ecu that ended in 661, but didn't realize until now that it's missing the large black plug. I did some research and it seems that's for traction control. I did some more digging, and it looks like some 661 ECU's came with traction control. I'm assuming this ECU will still work, but I will lose traction control. If that's the case, I'm also assuming that I can swap the ECU later for another 661 ECU that has traction control.
Can someone confirm this for me?
Thanks in advance. I posted the ECU pic below and 2 pics of the swap in progress for entertainment purposes.
Aristo vs GS300 ECU Comparison (Missing traction control)
The gray plug is for the immobilizer, it has nothing to do with the traction control. That said, the traction control will not work after the swap due the incompatibility of the stock VSC/TRAC/ABS computer with the Aristo gear.

To my knowledge, there isn't a way to bypass it. Some of the Japanese models came without immobilizers, but it's challenging to get one of those ECUs for a GE.
This video breaks down how the Toyota immobilizer system works.
If You can remove those components to the crown vic then it should work fine.
Otherwise, find an Aristo/Supra ECU without immobilizer and go from there.
