Question Timing belt replacement at 60K, not 90K?

For 2001 GS430, alldatadiy.com says 60k but mostly I see 90k mentioned here. Which is correct? Is "90k" just a good rule of thumb when you don't really know?

I always went with 90k. However, i bought my car and ran it to 160k with original timing belt.

alldatadiy.com claims to get all their data directly from OEM manuals. I'll check with a dealer in the morning.

You're good with 90k bro. These belts are incredibly strong and durable. Stop worrying.

Nah, just like to know the correct answer to things. The dealer says 90K too, but I had to twist her arm to even look it up... haha. I guess I'll geter done since this gs430 i picked up has 150k and no history of it ever been changed.

90K, but since they switched to Kevlar reinforced belts around 2001 you should be able to go over that by a bit with no worries.

through a good examination of my timing belt, the belt itself seems solid and well done, you should be good, me I change my belts traditionally at 105k miles.
