Default looking to buy....are these 2 GS3's worth it?

I'm still searching for a GS3 and I only have about $21-22G I can spend. I found 2 1998 GS300's, one for 19,999 with 52K on it, silver at a dealership and another 98, black with 56K on it for $21G from a private seller.

Is it worth spending that much for a GS3 with that many miles on it? I figure that the import cars are much more reliable at this mileage then say an american car would be...or am i just thinking the stereotypical import vs. american car idea.

Default That many miles is nothing to a Lexus

This year I bought a 99 GS3 with a few more than the one you are looking at. I paid a little under 21. It was weel worth it, 50 - 60K miles is nothing to a well taken care of Lexus or Toyota. Even if if it's wasn't that well taken care of it will still probably see many years of good preformance with light maintenace. That's just how they build 'em over in the pacific. There are guys on this board who got there GS's with 70, 80 90k miles. WIth only "reasonable" maintenance, high milage on a Lexus doesn't mean what it does to other cars. Just check all the JD power and car media rankings, Lexus is on top, ususally followed by Toyota.

a 100,000 mile lexus will still beat out many brand NEW cars. mileage is nothing really, just check if they were local or highway mileage. just because low mileage doesn't mean it is good if it was stop and go low mileage. it actually puts more wear on the engine than a high mileage highway miles engine.
