Default 98 GS300 Engine replacement with 04 GS300 engine

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of knowledge on the subject but I'm interested in replacing the engine of my 98 lexus gs300 with high miles with a 04 GS300 with less miles. This will be all stock so should I be concerned with many modifications and different wire connection types? I don't have the 2004 GS engine to be able to tell. I just want to be able to take out the old engine and put in the new replacement just the same. Thanks
