So i recently replaced my water pump on my 2001 gs300 i had to remove the radiator and after i put it all back together i noticed there is a clear drain hose that sticks out of the bottom that is leaking all my coolant. Im sure i put the drain plug back in correctly so i dont know what could be causing it. I found this picture on another thread but its perfect to try to better show the hose im talking about. I believe the drain plug/drain **** is supposed to stop it from leaking out of this hose so does anyone know why its still leaking out??? Please help
Also, that valve or drain plug have a O ring. Maybe the O ring is old broken inside or worn. Put a new drain plug or O ring. The transmissions shops have a lot of these O rings and the auto part as well. Is another idea to check your drain plug.
Mcon you were right on the money. I replaced the tiny o-ring on the drain plug and it stopped! I cant believe that little piece of rubber could cause such a headache! Thanks
