my 2003 gs 430 has a hesitation every once in a while when it accelerates? and was wondering about tire size. it has 235 45 17 on it now. thinking of going wider. any thoughts?

Congrats on your new GS and welcome. Are you talking about stock wheels or aftermarket?

also would love to know what kind of mufflers to buy. so many out there, hard to choose. would love a deeper tone, but not too loud.

Thanks Sr. I really do not remember much, I think is 35 off. But, after I install my rims, I go to the alingment shop and the guy told me that I need camber kit. I buy RCA's rear, front kit. Also, I have D2 Coilover, rear control arms and front SPC's control arm and my baby is green in all 4 tires. Is very nices set up, I love it.

People run a variety of sizes on the GS here.

The "proper sizes" would be 235/30/20 and 285/25/20 - the closest sizes to the original overall diameter.

I have also run 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 - didn't like it as much.

oh man you people are lucky with your smooth roads able to ride so low with barely any rubber. I am envious! I had to sell my 17 inch stock rims on my 430 and put the 16s with 55 series tires on it to get a smooth ride because of NYC's roads!

I doubt those pics are 265/35-20.. maybe 265/30-20..

265/35-20 is 27.3"

265/30-20 is 26.3"
