i have 20x10 +35 275/35 and 20x8.5 +40 245/35 i am tucking a little tire and have about an inch clearance to the fender in the rear and i rub a little durring hard cornering and steep driveways.

sorry no pics on my work computer. you can see pics in the street inspired thread, page like 17 (search for my screen name) i think. on my work computer as i type this.

There's a tire/wheel size calculator somewhere online but I cant find my link. Anyways, I think 245/35/20 & 285/30/20 is approx. the same overall diameter as 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. Like Socal mentioned, offset will determine whether you rub or not. I don't think 40's on 20" wheels would look good at all.
