Default OEM Exhaust Manifold vs OBX Racing Sports Exhaust Manifold Headers

Hi guys,

I imagine that someone already asked this question, but I can not find anything about it. So, that is why I ask the question and here we go. My OEM Exhaust Manifold CAT is plugged into the Bank 1 pistons 1, 2 and 3. I do not know why or how and I have not idea why this happened to my CAT My car have only 97,xxx miles on it. Perhaps the O2 sensor damage internally and never notice me with the cel light. The cel light on the cluster turns ON when I turn on the engine and go out in a few seconds after the engine is ON. So, the cel light on the cluster work fine. My question is; It is better to buy an OEM Exhaust Manifold or buy a OBX Racing Sport Exhaust Manifold Headers. Because what I've heard is that the header does not have the catalytic and the cel light always will be ON all the time and at the same time the car spends more in fuel . Also, if you buy and use one of this header, the header sound inside the car, it is very loud. How true is all this . Someone let me know what is my best option? . Your comment is more than appreciated guys.

I had a lot of trouble with getting the OBX header to run on my car. For me it caused more problems than it was worth. The reason I changed was also because my manifold was bad. But I did also have the midpipe and catback on, lost alot of torque. I would say replace with used OEM but your problem may be something different. But definitely OEM on something like a header.

drizzygs3,
Thanks for you answer.
Is a Christmas time and I work a lot of hours right now and I have not time to found out what happen with my car get. But to complete my good luck, yesterday the 2 spring on my garage door, broke at once. Only 6 years of use. That's not normal to pass eather. Another $ 800.00 on christmas time. Sigh ... Such is life!!!

Don't waste your time with OBX. Changing the exhaust manifold out in these cars is a pain in the ***. Last thing you want is to do it twice. Get a set of PPEs if you want headers on your car bro
