Default What do you think of this? New site for GS

Hey guys,

Just soliciting feedback on this new site I am creating for the GS series of cars (this is just a template of the site - the site does not exist yet):

http://www.thewellingtonmaze.ca/gs400/html/index.html

Basically the site will serve three functions - the first two are more significant (the last reason, you can see by looking at the template for the home page above).

1. DIY's for the GS (This would be a database driven section that anyone can contribute to - basically adding text and photos through online forms). The DIY section will have a rating system and visitors to the site can rate a particular DIY for its value and usefullness. BananaGS has generously agreed to contribute some of his excellent work to this section.

2. Modded section - this will be another database driven section that will allow visitors to the site to submit pictures and text of their rides to show how they have modded their car. (more light hearted than the DIY section)

I know some of you will say there is nothing special about what I am doing, however the other reason for doing this is simply to have fun. I love the GS and I want to have a hobby site centered around it rather than just having a website that just shows my car. (no offense intended to those CL members who have such sites.)

Let me know what else you think will be useful that complements the CL site rather than duplicating functionality here.

Hehehehe, that's funny... Not your idea Hameed or what your doing.. Before I read anything I clicked on the link and saw a pic of my car sitting there and was like WTF is this?? Oh man not again... I thought someone stole another pic of my car.. A few months ago someone posted a link to a Japanese website for Harrier's and my RX was on their cover page.. And they never asked me to used it... But I saw it was you and you can use any pic you want, as long as "MrSypher" is there too.... Hey good idea and so far it looks great.. Keep it up and if you need anything don't hesitate to drop me a PM... Goodluck with it...

BananaGS has a great DIY website. Maybe you could design him a new template or ask him for some DIY projects.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for the support. Actually the images used on the website (all the thumbnails and the white GS300) are just there temporarily on this template. The only car that is actually part of the template is gsintensive's car. And yes I will give you all credit.

Just checking your ideas. I will not steal anyones picture. This is just a fun site - that's it.

Let me know what else you would like to see on the site.

Hey Brice, yes it does have some similarities, but I had to change it as I never heard back from you regarding whether I could use your design or not. As you can see the top header is completely different, the gallery is similar (how many ways can you display a gallery? ) and the rest is different.

Just sent you a PM regarding this.
