Default I'm STRESSING OUT!!!

Man, I was looking at my 2003 headlight housings yesterday, and a guy at the shop told me that he saw somewhere online that we could get JDM HID black housings with cleared turn signals for $300 at some site he was on.

I was like,"NO WAY!" Honestly, I've never seen any talk about this here on CL and I told him that, if it was out there, that you guys on this forum would find it. So far, nothing, right? But, I went on his word and wanted to come home and search for those lights. I searched high and low and couldn't find squat.

Here's my predicament now. My parts guy gave me my money back yesterday (Saturday) for the lights because it was a C.O.D. order and, when the lights were dropped off on Friday, no one was there to give him the cash. My parts guy said it would be easier to return it now than have the C.O.D. paid for and me try to get my money back after the fact. So, I didn't want to take any chances, so I took the money back.

Now I'm having second thoughts and think that I might go back and get those headlight housings, but he'd need the money by tomorrow at 9 a.m. and there's no way I can get there until 11:45 a.m.

Then there's this thread here about GS300 SportDesign headlights having a black finish inside the housings and I'm thinking about trying to find those now.

Bottom line, if my parts guy returns these lights, he probably won't order them again for me since it'd look bad on him. But, if I get the part number to the SportsDesign headlights in HID, then it could be justified that he order the SportsDesign headlights.

Should getting headlights be THIS complicated?!

What do ya'll think I should do? Thanks for any suggestions.....

KEVS
the price of $300 cant be true......

I have been trying to get JDM used headlights for a CL member and they are hard to come by, the price will be around $250-350 PAIR for used ones Im told. Then to get them to have the black chrome look costs extra.

If your in no hurry for some.........let me know and I will see what I can do for you here in Japan.

Thanks for the reminder, Dex...

Is this the same Bitkahuna who's been lamenting that in a few short years the used IS prices will be low enough for any ricer to afford one?

Okay, so I ended up keeping the 2001+ headlights, despite the sweetness of clear turn signals, I've decided against it.

The main reason for keeping it stock is just in case it leaks again, I have the receipt and it will be covered under warranty. If I clear it out, I'm screwed if I see some fog.

Thanks for all the opinions, though. It was greatly appreciated.
