Default To clear or not to clear....

Okay, so I'm replacing my headlights this weekend (hopefully) due to the wonderful construction of our headlights which lets in moisture. This is an easy opportunity to clear out the turn signals before they're put in.

My car is a 1998 GS400 in Alpine Silver.

Should I clear it out or leave it stock?

Man, the poll's at 50/50 now. Ahh!

What do you guys think is the best way to clear it out? Soldering iron or Dremel?

BananaGS said to use either in his DIY (great write-up, BTW), and I'm leaning towards the soldering iron.....

Clear 'em for sure, but... if you are going to crack open the headlights, you might as well go ahead and paint the non reflector bezels while you're at it... I'd recommend translucent black to give it a black chrome look! Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Mumbles, thanks for the suggestion! But, I'm gonna do it the way BananaGS wrote it up and just go through the hole and crack the piece with whatever (solder or dremel). I'm too scared to open up the headlight for the price of each headlight!

Me, for one!

Of course it's personal opinion, but I have yet to see a car where clear corners look anything but stupid.

Clear them, looks alot cleaner. Especially on a black car.

I think that clear corners on a BMW looks good.

But you don't like mods of any kind, right? So I'd say that your opinion, while interesting, is irrelevant.
