Default Gs400/430 High stall torque converter drivability

Hi everyone, I have read about everyone raving about the 2800+rpm stall torque converter mods. Well, I have headers, intake, all the poly diff bushings, steering bushings etc... And with the sustec pro coulovers and all braces and upgraded sways, the car rides like a dream...
Still though, it doesnt launch like I would expect 300+hp would, and I understand a higher stall torque converter would cure that.
How about city driving though? When I tap the throttle it moves around town fine. Will I lose that?

Is there anyone in the socal area that would let me take a car with the converter mod around the block? I'd buy lunch!

Thanks CL!

When I bought my GS400 from an OG club lexus owner I was lucky enough to get it with a PI dragon torque converter and supra tt lsd already installed and it's super fun to drive. It drives fine in the city and launches nicely I've never been in another GS400 so I don't know how it is compared to stock, but the drivability is great.

the only thing i noticed different was when your cruising thru your neighborhood at about 20mph, the rpm's seem to be hovering around 2000. but you get used to it real quick. its all around a really good upgrade. be prepared to start buying tires more often. and absolutely need to get a big high quality trans cooler b/c the higher stall really raises the temps.
