Default Borla Tips

Any suggestions on an oval exhaust tip to fill out the stock bumper cut-out. Will the Borla oval exhaust tips, model 20155, fit and look right on a GS400. They are 4.25" X 3.5" angle cut, 5" long with a 2.5" inlet? Where is the best place to purchase?

Def. go with the borla tips, the ones DrewGS4 is selling are bolt on so no welding is required. Even though they are bolt on they are on very strong and fill the rear bumper much nicer than the stock tips. I will snap some pics tommorrow of mine if you want. For a great deal pm DrewGS4 he has a few set left.

Here is a picture of the stock oem muffler tip on the left and the borla tip on the right. As you can see there is a HUGE HUGE difference!

Total install time is 5 mins. These tips are have been modified by a machine shop to make them bolt on. This means that there is no welding or cutting. Also, the tips are completely adjustable. They can be set further back in, flush or extend past the bumper. This choice is up to you. As you can see they fit the cavity perfectly.

If anyone is interested send me an email at drew@tritel.mi8.com

If anyone is wondering mrsypher car is on the right and futureisorgs car is on the left.

Here is a link to our NJ minimeet this past weekend. You can also see a picture of my car "spectra blue" with the borla tips on this link

I got the Borla tips from Drew. Quick, easy transaction. Got them welded on at Midas near my office for $35. They sell all kinds of tips there, and the mgr. told me the Borlas are much nicer than what they sell. You won't be disappointed. (Drew, you can send my check regular mail.)

I also ordered tips from Drew, they are on their way to me right now. Here is a pic he sent me of the rear, it shows the clamps that are being described so that you dont have to weld them on if you don't want to. Hope you dont mind Drew!

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback.

Here is another picture that shows the difference in stock OEM vs the borla tip
The old tips are very easy to remove. If you have a rubber hammer as seen in the picture, you just tap them out. They are not held in by any screws.

To put the new ones on, just tighten the bolt and this will secure it around the tip. No welding at all is required. They are completely adjustable. You can move them forwards or backwards. Once they lock in place it is impossible to pull them off. They only way to pull them off is to untighten them.

Since you are not replacing the muffler just the tip....you get the look of an nice classy aftermarket setup but the quiteness that defines LEXUS.
