Default New Pictures of 2004 GS (Real!)

Hey guys!

I haven't had my Lex SC400 for about a year now and I really miss it. Not to worry, I am planning to buy another Lexus hopefully soon if my job works out. I have just seen a pic of the new GS and I think I may have found the car I need to buy . Y'all check this out and tell me what you think. I hope this is the final design because if it is, I will definately have to get it. By the way, I have heard this new GS will come with a 3.5L 6cyl. Hopefully they will also come out with a V8.

Here's the link:

Hmm, interesting. Looks like the most convincing picture thus far, seems to follow the current design trend for Lexus....if this is the new GS...I'm glad I decided to get the '03 when I did. I'm sure that the new GS will be state of the art with the newest features and gadgets....but I still love the 2G GS

the solara is just released, a few months before it goes on sale, and before now no one had any idea what it looks like.

The new SC300(or 330, or 350) should be here sometime near the end of this year. No news so far, AT ALL.

The new GS will arrive fall of next year. I don't think there's ANY REASON to believe that anything we see now is true.

i remember reading a post here on cl about how gracefully GS is aging. in that, the pen mentions at the debut of the 2nd geg GS, many ppl found it too "original," unique. now, i seem to be observing a recurring pattern here about the next gen gs. food for thoughts.

I'm sure they will alter it before it hits production - that concept pic looks horrific

I was at the show today in NYC and I asked Lexus when they were coming out with the new GS and they told me that it wasn't going to be out until 2005 as a 2006 model. As for the concept, Lexus said that they didn't even know if it was going to be released......

i think it would come out in 2004 as a 2005 since japan is getting it soon as a 2004 model in 2003, and they are always one year ahead of us.... that is if this is the real aristo

I don't know if this really matters but do you notice that the picture shows the door handle is a old style lift type? All the current Lexus models with the exception with the current GS300/400/430 have the new door handles that allow you to wrap you hands round the handle and pull outward rather than upward. I don't think the picture actually shows the final GS replacement. It does not make sense for Lexus to continue using the lift handles for the new GS rather than pull handles when all the other Lexus already have them. Not consistent philosophy.

Looks quite similar from the front cap back to the other most recent pic being circulated. From what I can see, I like everything from the nose back. Looks like a graceful roof line, athletic stance............but that front end is even worse than the other.

Chu, I just noticed that you've got a factory wood rear spoiler! (Couldn't help myself...........)
