Default Any driving advice for a new GS430?

I am picking up a Silver/Black 2003 GS430/Nav/ML/17 wheels this weekend, had to wait nearly 2 months for it. I had a '00 GS300 for three years and absolutely loved the car, but it just did not have enough power for me so I am super excited about this one. Too bad they took the e-shift buttons off the for 430, but I guess the GS300 needs to have something over the 430. I wanted to know from the knowledeable people here if there is anything I should know about the car, like not testing the engine too much first 1000 miles or so and anything else you might think of from your experience with the 430. All advice is greatly appreciated

Congrats on the new GS Ray. When I pick up my GS with 15 miles on it. I drive it the way I drive without worring about the break in period that most people always talking about. I hit 6K rpm twice on the way home. Just relax and enjoy your new ride.

The V8 produces so much power even with light throttle. It will be difficult to keep it under 60 for the first 1000 miles

well they stated in manual you do't have to break in engine, if you want you can try to not overrev and vary rpm. no where do they say don't go over 60 that's the break in method in the 80's, not now

It seems to me when I drive my dads GS 430 that is has not much low end torque...what I mean is from a stoplight it doesnt get powerfull till you step on it a bit more.

Im comming from driving a 4Runner which is totally different, but does anyone notice the lack of low end torque...my dad who owns it also notices/complains about that.

Yeah, the GS400 is a bit sluggish out of the blocks, but watch out when it hits 30 MPH! It goes like a rocket then..........

Hameed is correct - car is a dog from 0-30 (both GS400 and GS430). There is a torque converter upgrade that helps a lot I hear.

Default Torque converter

Where can I get this torque converter, how much is it and wouldn't it void the warranty?
