Soooo my trans started acting up in my 98 gs300. At least I think it was. When I'd shift from park to drive, it'd shift really rough, than the rpms would idle higher than usual, at about 1200 instead of 800....It sounded like my foot was on the pedal. But I'd hit the gas and it was completely unresponsive. But I have a crashed 2001 gs, so I'm thinking of just swapping that one out and putting it into my 1998 gs because it has some work done to it. Are they interchangeable or is it a total pain in the ***???? Thanks guys

I have a 98 gs 300 and the transmission just went on it. Bought a 2001 parts car a while back and I need to know if the transmissions are interchangeable. Does anyone know or can point me in the right direction? Thanks guys

I have a 98 gs300 and the trans just went on it I think. I also have a 2001 gs300 parts car, but I'm not sure if the transmissions are interchangeable. Does anyone on here know if they are or can point me in the right direction of a website so I can see the actual specs of the trans?

The transmissions are the same. E-shift is the ability to change the gear with steering wheel mounted buttons. It is an electronic feature and has no influence on the design of the transmission.
