Incredible , but my hard drive nav is completely gone .
The car has only 29,200 miles now , so the damn thing should not have broke down like that , but I am now looking for one in good condition . '
I don`t use it since it is so outdated (I use my Garmin NUVI 265 WT instead) but I hate to see the sign "check the hard drive" so if there is a used one at a reasonable price I would perhaps buy it .
Anybody knows of one ? Thanks

I have one that works but it gives check hard disk every once in awhile

What a coincidence mine gave up the ghost just last month. I got the HARD DISK COLD on mine. My OCD wants to fix it, but with the compact flash card and converter instead of the hard drive. I took the hard drive to Best Buy and they were not able to read or get the files off.

eBay had some old drives but none of the sellers could verify that they work. And I am not going to pay around $100 to throw the dice and get one that doesn't work. So, I'm just going to have to live with it not working. :0(

Same exact thing I am thinking . I am not about to pay some $100 or more (likely more) for something that may not work at all .
Since these things are so old , most likely they all stop working just about now , so replacement , unless is a gift , is not worth it .
Is really a shame , specially in my car that has only 29,000 miles on it , ah well...
