Default Finally a 2GS owner!

After having 3 1GS and 3 1SC, it's time to come home! I have always wanted a 2GS. I picked up a beat up 2001 with 186k miles. But hey, it still counts right?

I will actually trying to make it back to OEM again for now. It has the typical cheap hid upgrade, loud exhaust, and stereo system that a kid would put on a car.

Yea, that's always the first step... unwinding the previous-owner's stuff. Recently made the leap, and I have some black-out tail lights I'd like to revert back to stock.

What... no AW16?! : )

Finally got in my first test drive. I was thinking that the car would feel heavy with all of the extras on a 2GS. I'm surprised that it is about the same as my old 1GS if not a bit snappier on the throttle. The manual mode wasn't very exciting. I'm sure that the transmission is a bit on the tired side after 180k.

There is a loud humming on the front right. Have any of you had wheel bearing issues?

BTW bonus! The car came with a Tanabe Hyper Medallion catback! It isn't loud at all.

If it were me, I would keep the catback!

nice purchase, i have the same catback

I've had wheel bearings go in other cars but never my GS4
If you turn the steering wheel from side to side and the sound worsens/dissipates depending on direction, i'd say it's probably a wheel bearing
