Read on some forums these things don't deal well with heat so I'll probably be upgrading the radiator and adding an additional tranny cooler and temp gauge here at some point. Hooliganism is half the fun! Play with the mustangs and camaros but drive slowly away after and not get noticed by the fuzz

And what car deals well with Heat? Why do you THINK there is a need to upgrade the Rad? Is your current one shot? Tranny cooler helps, Temp gauge not necessary unless your thing is to do Donuts in second gear.. Mustang and Camaros dont even belong in this convo. They are totally different cars than the GS.. "Hooliganism" You sound like a 16Yr old Fad..

I must say you are one brave soul to be doing donuts in a car that has 260k on the original tranny. Can't believe you expected the GS to survive that with so many miles, I mean the car is built like a tank, but an old tranny is an old tranny.

Good point, YOLO! You fix your car yourself, even more of a reason to attempt stuff like this, because I never would.

If he wants to do skids who gives AF. He's not having a cry about the trans puking, just after pointers on where to look first to fix the problem.

Fix it break it fix it break it fix it and so it goes round and around... We don't all just put neck pillows in these things and talk about gas mileage...

Keeping skidding, don't hurt any one and do put an external cooler on it

I was seriously impressed actually. Did I mention this was with 10" wide tires on in the rear?... And it still got me home 200miles away and didn't leave me stranded! I firmly believe if I had an external cooler on and/or had a tranny temp guage to watch the temps with, it would've taken the beating no problem even with all those miles!

200% if you had a cooler you would've been fine. Gotta love Lexus. Only car wit that many miles that can handle a beating like that. They're just not made like that anymore even the new ones.
