Default Battery Drain?

About to acquire a 2002 GS300 with 85k for my son. I am a LS430 owner and an active member of that CL forum. My question is whether the GS will have a problem starting because it will be left outside for up to a few weeks at a time with out being used. There will be no way to connect a battery tender. The car does not have nav or ML audio. LS430's have a problem where if they are sitting for a length of time, the inherent electrical draws can drain the battery. I was wondering whether the GS had the same issues. My son is lucky to get such a great car.

My '98 GS400 has sat for a few weeks without being on a tender and started right up without issue. A lot of it is dependent on storage conditions (temperature changes) as well as the battery itself. As far as parasitic draws, there shouldn't be an issue there unless there's an issue with your particular car.

I have a draw from my remote start other then that its fine, I usually start the car every 3rd or 4th day just to keep it from dying on me.

Have been thinking of putting a small solar panal with a charge controller while its in storage just to keep it full.

Once I finish these finals I will be looking into this ask this car isn't a daily for me.
