New guy thinking of switching to a GS300 (+turbo) any advice?
Ok so I need a new daily driver because of a long story.... but anyways looking at 2000-2005 GS300 auto.
I've read a bunch of things and need a clear understanding of what I should do/be looking for. Since the car will be my daily driver, I know I'm looking for a car with LSD (is this only certain years?).
secondly I know I will be bolting on a single turbo and keeping it around the 500whp mark (because a daily needs 500whp for groceries). But I'm getting mixed reviews on the NA-T or just swapping in a aristo drivetrain.
From what I've read the aristo auto tranny is a tank and can handle anything till around 600whp and is a cheap upgrade (is this true?) that said, what is the real differences of the aristo engine and a stock gs300 engine? Biggest thing I see is the intake manifold, can I swap to the aristo style on a stock head? or is the heads different?
Sorry for my newb level of questions but NO ONE within 200 or so miles has GS300 let alone a modded one that I've found. So what my main goal is make it reliable at around the 500whp mark for daily use. I just want something "tried and true" and looking at the best way to get there while not breaking the bank on unnecessary purchases
As far as upgrades that I already have I have a aftermarket supra turbo manifold, precision 6768 turbo, FID 1000's, walbro 450 pump, 6an feed/return lines, aeromotive FPR, mishimoto trans cooler. I would build a turbo intake/FMIC kit unless such a kit exists (again new guy still learning where to find/buy parts).
So what advice can you guys give me?
