Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a little info on fuel pumps for the 2g models. I have a 2000 gs 400 and it died on me on my way to work the other day, got it towed back to my house and assumed it was a fuel pump, checked for spark , and it had spark on all cylinders. So next step remove back seats and check the fuel pump resistance. Turns out the pump showed on my meter 20 megaohms, so I figured the motor was bad. Keep in mind I measured the resistance of the bottom pins, the ones going to the fuel pump. I took the fuel pump out and removed it from the module I guess you could call aka giant hunk of plastic . as I took the motor out I wanted to check the resistance again just to be safe. Checked it again and it was 2.0 ohms. I didn't even clean the connectors or anything before I checked it again. So I put 12v to the pump for about 2 seconds and it spun right up. The problem here was a dirty connector.. Maybe even loose, just wanted to give some info. wish I had taken some pics.
