Please educate me on the 2JZ Supra Motor?
Looking into buying a 2000 Lexus GS with a 2JZ Supra Motor. I have never purchased a car, only leased and know nothing about this motor. Can you please help? Thank you!

C'mon
I would skip the CL search and just google it. 2JZ is a strong motor, but you are talking about a 16 year old car, so There are many other things to consider about a Lexus than the engine. I put about $3k into my suspension just to replace worn stuff. Good luck with your search

What's the point in replying with this? Yeah and I could of also used the Google search bar as well. Other topics cover similar topics but not what I am specifically inquiring for.

Sorry, there wasn't very much specificity in your ask. You specifically asked for "help". So we helped you. I can help more, but I have a 3UZ, so I can't speak on subjective driving impressions...

Also, the GS300 comes factory with the 2jz, so this topic is actually vague and no "specifics" were given. Are you you buying a 300 with a 2jz-GTE swapped in it, or just the factory 2jz? Nonetheless, this subject has been raped many times in 26 years.

my advice is if you haven't owned cars in the past DO NOT buy a 16 year old luxury car regardless of the engine involved. At this point, such cars are really for enthusiasts who like to tinker. Without a good base of auto knowledge, you would get eaten alive when you require maintenance or repairs.
