Default bumper protector

as some of you might have noticed i kinda "disappear" from the board due to recent move over to my gf.. kinda busy to go on-line anymore.. and since i now have to park outside (on the street) instead of usual garage some a$%#^ can't park their car and the way they park their cars is hit other car to know thats it you can't go any future.. basically they damaged my bumper (scratched it) so i had to get bumper protectors..

i dont have good front picture, i'll post it later but i have rear one.

sorry it was raining day before that..

oh man, i'd rather deal with the scratches, honestly. a little detailing time to time and you'll have cleaner solution, i'd think. well, thank goodness your car is black, huh?

parking on the street, its gotta concern you. until half year ago, i lived in an apartment that had a decent amount of college students and was always afraid something would happen until i decided to pay for a garage since summer came and i didn't even have a carport there three spots away, a new jetta burned down when the trash shed next to caught fire!

ALEX-u HAVE to take those off man! I hate those things, it would prpbably be cheaper and better looking to use touchup paint on your bumpers. I dont know where your gf lives, but I always seemed to find some sort of lot (bedstuy, bushwick).

Try to find a lot!

I empathize with your situation, but plastering that gawd awful door sealant on your car is hideous.

What about a couple layers of Xpel?

Every time I travel to NYC and Philly it amazes me how people can shoe a 20' car in 12' of parking space. Of course, the end result is damaged bumpers.

The bumper guard may save you from scratches, but I have to echo the sentiments of others here that it looks terrible on your car (especially a high-end luxury car).

In the end, it's your car and your call and it really doesn' t matter what the rest of us think.

i agree w/ bravo. detailing can really do wonders. i got rear ended at a stoplight in a black GS, probably only about 5 miles per hour. it was a pretty hard impact though; it knocked my shifter from Drive into Neutral. the impact left his front license plate paint stamped on my beautiful bumper. it was only a week before i was turning it into the dealer for a newer GS lease, so i only had time to take it to my detail guy. some paint thinner and a good wax job, almost as good as new.

i know that this is only one isolated fender bender, but i think if you park carefully on the street and leave plenty of room front and back, you will probably be o.k.

are those bumpers permanent or temporary ?
