Tail lights turn on only when i smack them.
Like the title says.. Everytime i start the car i have to go to the back and lightly bang on the tailights to turn them on.. This started a couple days ago. Seems like somethig was loose, but now 1 of my inner tailights is doing the same thing but a light smack wont help it.. And it turns on and off whenever it wants.. Anyone know what it could be? I checked the bulbs and they are all good.. The outers seem like a loose connection? What are the chances that im having problems with all my tailights in the same week.. Where should i start

Frequently it's a poor connection between the socket and the chassis (AKA a "bad ground). Look for corrosion. Clean (scrape, sand, etc) until a good connection is obtained. The ground can be either a wire eyelet and screw; or merely a screw holding the metal housing against the car's body; and/or the screw contact against metal has corroded. Often, merely loosening and then tightening mounting screws is sufficient to regain an electrical connection.
