My buddy has an 01 GS300. He said he can get in start it up an drive down the road but once in a while when he comes to a stop after driving for a bit it dies an won't start back up, or if he shuts the car off it won't start back. He said if he let's it sit for a while it will start back. I told him it sounds like the crank sensor is bad. Does anybody have an idea if that is what it is or am I way off. Please any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Some of these guys have been talking about fuel/ tank related issues. Next time it happens loosen the gas cap then put it back on and see if that helps any.

 

...sounds like a bunch of things.

First thing I would do is make sure the immobilizer security light stops blinking and goes off when the key is inserted.
