replacement door panel different shade of black?
didnt get to take a pic but i recently picked up some spare door panels for my 02 sport design for audio purposes and they are noticeably a different shade of black compared to my originals. i got the door panels from an 01 silver on black gs300. the door panel seems to be a more dull or flat black compared to my sd panel which has more of a rich black. i even tried to use some leather conditioner to see if that would help and it didnt do much.
so i was curious... do our gs come with different shade of black door panels?

It could just be that yours are greasy from wear and the products that you've used on them. Generally, fresh OEM plastics and leather have a smooth, matte finish. Shiny leather and plastics come from being worn and oiled by touch, and shined with detailing products. There could also be factory variations between models years as a result of a change in manufacturing. I have no clue. But try cleaning both really deeply, then treating them with the same products and see if you can achieve the same finish.

oh wait, you said door panels...
Try using some leather polish and bring back the vibrancy. Many factors can change the look, from climate to time spent in the sun. Probably came off a car with no tint, that can change the color dynamics, especially from a 15 year old car. Dont know how they were stored either.
