Mateo,

Is good to change it when you car get 100,000 miles. This was like a year ago.

OEM part number. This is for GS300

Check on eBay this item # 252418259778. I buy on the dealer cost me just a little more. LOL

the very bottom of the fuel pump has a little flat "sock filter" attached to it. the main fuel filter is built inside of the fuel pump assembly.

What are you talking about?

The guy just told you what two filters are in the car. There's one on the end of the pickup (part #23217-46090), and one inline with the pump (part #23300-21010)

If you look down at your gas tank after you've removed your rear seat cushion and taken out your fuel pump assembly, you will see a "sock" at the bottom of the whole works. That's the fuel strainer or sock. The filter is actually inside the assembly.

One is cheap, at your local Toyota dealer. The other one, well you have to decide. Personally if this is not your thing, I would just order the whole works online and swap it all out as one.

I don't think the guy has actually stared down into his gas tank so maybe he's just wondering if it's a diy... or not.
