Default How to - LS400 Brake pad replacement

As the title states I am looking for a how to on replacing the LS400 Brake pads. I found one on the LS forum but its not clear and a little all over the place.


Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

remove retaining pin on the slider pin on top of the caliper... pull old pads out... open master cylinder and push brake piston back in... drop in new pads, put back slider pin and safety pin on rear... done?

I think the problem with most of the DIY's for brake pads is that they don't show lube points. Then the slide pins stick. I'm not 100% on how many lube spots there are. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Agreed, this is why I asked the question. Doing brake is easy just the specifics for each car is the question.
