Default NRG Hub turn signal problems

Hey I recently installed a Momo Wheel and an NRG hub and quick release. I removed the clockspring and there are three small buttons that come out of the turn signal mechanism that should go into the grooves in the back of the NRG hub. The problem is the buttons on mechanism are on somewhat of a spring loaded piece that doesnt put enough pressure on the back of the hub to let them stay seated. So when I turn the wheel the turn signal cancel function will work once and then not again. Im not too sure how I could fix this.

Sounds like you busted your clock spring. Unless you removed it entirely, in which case, put it back.

I actually did remove it, only because there was a tab that sticks which makes putting the hub on not possible. Not sure what to do with that

If you never want to reinstall a stock steering wheel and airbag, sure. I have no idea what tab you're referring to, by the way. The plug?

yes sorry, the plug that sticks up. I don't see any other way to install it without removing it
