Search in the forums. I know there is a DIY on using the factory amp with a aftermarked headunit, at least for the sub. That is all you would want to use it for, anyway. Headunits today have more power than the factory one.
perhaps it might be more beneficial to get rid of the factory amp all together. it will burn out eventually.
you can get a nice used amp on ebay that will work better with your aftermarket radio.
Not really. You (or the installer) should be able to send the new amp's signal through the wires the factory amp was using for output.
Yea you can do that but if your going with higher wattage you may wanna use a corresponding guage for the speaker wires. Especially for the sub.
Plus, unless you get an amp that has wired inputs you would have to make RCA connectors at the end where the stock wiring will connect to the amp.
