PULSE CHECK Ltuned GS's
Just wanted to get an up to date pulse check to see how many Ltuned GS's are still alive and active on Club Lexus. Post up a picture of your Ltuned GS, how long you've owned it, and anything that makes yours stand out!
I've had mine for several months now. I've wanted one ever since my aunt bought one brand new in 2003. I finally found a well taken care of 2003 GS430 not too far from me. Had to get the wheels refinished back to the factory color, and get some rock chips repaired on the front bumper, but other than that, the car is MINT. I am in love with this car! I have my eye on some L Tuned badging on eBay for backups, so maybe I'll add one to the engine cover and one on the interior.

Purchased in 2009...
I suppose something that makes mine "unique" is the lack of curb rash on the O.Z. Salinas and that I have one brand new Salina still in the box.

1. They did not have anything listed by vin # since it was a dealer installed option whether they wanted to put a "stage 1" or a "stage 2" kit on it. I know mine shows on the service records as having the Stage 2 upgrade done at 5 miles here at a local dealer.
2. They only did the Ltuned upgrade for 2003 GS430's and I think one year for the IS300 as well.
3. Colors offered for the package were only Black, Silver, and Pearl White. I don't know why they would want to limit it to those 3 colors.
4. They did not include any other badging other than the fenders and the trunk lid badge. So what I did, as you can see below, is I purchased a set of Ltuned badges that I found on eBay recently and saved the exterior badges, god for bid I'm in an accident, and put others elsewhere where I thought they looked good/belonged. (Engine cover, above the ashtray, and valve stem covers.

"Lexus L-Tuned Sport Package
Will Add More Performance and Style to GS Series
To enhance the driving pleasure of the GS 300 and GS 400, Lexus and Toyota Racing Development (TRD) have developed an aftermarket sport package called L-Tuned, which will be available through Lexus dealers August 1, 2000.
“The GS 300 and GS 400 are great cars to drive, but some drivers want even more performance and sporty style from their vehicles,” said Bryan Bergsteinsson, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “By ordering a manufacturer-approved aftermarket package through Lexus dealers, our customers know they’re getting high-quality parts, reliable installation and a warranty.”
For the GS300/400 series, L-Tuned will offer two distinct packages to accommodate a broad range of driving techniques, road conditions and vehicle styling.
L-Tuned’s Series 1 Package is comprised of a body kit, one of three wheel/tire combinations and special L-Tuned badging. The body kit, made of durable polyurethane, includes side skirts and a unique body-color grille surrounded with a laser-cut mesh insert.
The Series 2 Package includes the Series 1 components plus performance shocks and springs, a re-calibrated steering ECU and stainless steel mufflers with polished tips for a sportier look.
With each package, GS300/400 owners will have the choice of three different wheel and
Z-rated tire combinations:

^^Thanks Thomas for the additional information.
The oz rim option with a 9.5 in wide rear seems nice.
Another question..regarding the retuned steering ecu. Is this a 3rd type?? Or same as the sportdesign and 02+ standard st. Ecu. Iv swapped to the 02+ unit myself...and can verify the 2 part numbers listed. So...is there a 3rd type?
Thanks
