DOES THE FINISHED PRODUCT LOOK AS GOOD AS GSXOTIC'S WHEEL?

 

GSXOTIC's wheel is from the group buy. He got the second generation with different wood. My is the first gen. The finish is top notch.

 

Why is the color of the Airbag is different from the steering wheel?

 

It's caused by the flash light. I should take some more pics during the day. The color is perfectly matched.

Is it possible to get a 03" airbag cover on a 99" G4, I like the fact that the logo is finished in chrome. On the wooddash site http://www.exoticwooddash.com/instructwheel.htm they have what the call overlays that, THEY SAY, has a seemless finish once the wood is glued to the wheel. Is that product any good, or will I just end up with a cheep looking replica?

 

No, I inquired about this w/ my dealership a while back. I think starting in 2001 the GS came equipped w/ a two-stage airbag, rather than a single stage as in the previous models. So the older model GS's aren't able to utilize the new airbags, d/t different connectors. Too bad, because the newer airbag covers look much nicer.

 

Does anyone sell the chrome logo that might fit on the air bag?.......

 

There actually is a way to do it. I've done the mod on my '92 SC400.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT JUST STICK A EMBLEM ON YOUR AIRBAG. Use your head folks...what will happen to that emblem if the airbag goes off...???
