can anyone answer me this? ive had it in mind for months...
why does a celica GT-S have VVTL-i (variable valve timing and lift (with intelligence))
and IS and GS dont... even though Lexus refers to them as "Performance" and "Luxury Performance"
vehicles.....?
Another unexplicable concepts from within the corporation... or is it??
heres a supplement i came across while writting this thread:

VVTL-i is newer technology. It's exclusive to the 2ZZ-GE engine, like the dual VVT-i is to the new 3S-GE engine.
they used the Lift part on the 2ZZ-GE to achieve 100 hp per liter i guess. No need to go such high revs for other VVTi engines, like the 2JZ-GE for instance. Normal VVT-i for a more smooth power curve.
i dunno i assumed all those
