Loud beep/screech when turning car on? Associated with speedometer connector
Hi my dad has a 1998 Gs400 and Everytime he turns on the car there's an extremely loud and annoying sound. After unplugging the cable that's for the speedometer from the circuit board underneath the steering wheel the noise no longer happens...But not having a speedometer is kind of annoying as well.
I was hoping to see if anyone had any ideas on what could be causing this.

Can you record a sound clip or video of the sound? Its hard to diagnose a sound without, well the sound to listen to

First thought is that it may be the ABS system, but again, without hearing the actual sound, its hard to give an answer.
