98 gs300 engine swap to 97 non vvti?

There's absolutely no reason to do so. The VVTi gte is plug and play for your chassis. Also, the VVti motor is superior to the non-vvti motor and is usually $1000 less. All in all, you can do the non-vvti swap but it will have less low-end torque, harder to wire in the chassis, and costs more money than a VVTI swap
