Default GS430 Climate issues from hell

Replaced all the motors for climate ( temp, blend, directional )...and I am still having problems with it directing the air the wrong way, and temp either freezing cold or stupid hot. Not to mention that even with it off, its still putting out hot air through the vents, and I cant get it to go to feet...and it might be stuck on defrost or front vents. Oh and recently I moved to Vegas, and during the drive the air was pumping out heat to the feet...though the unit was off.

I am thinking bad unit? Any help would be great!

My friends shop ( former service adviser for Toyota and Lexus(me) , friend was one of my techs at Toyota) said that its almost a 13k unit replace ment? We pulled everything apart to double check motors and the install and it was all in good shape.

I did plenty of searching on here, I knew about the servos and what not...sorry I didnt think to look 10 pages deep in a thread about servos. But the thing that gets me is why it started out working normal for a bit...then once I went defrost it stayed on defrost...but the next time I started my car up it went back to dash. But now its just random. I am going to pull it apart and see if thats what the issue is, but my problem seems a bit different than yours.

okay so problem was fixed...it wasnt the electrical. it was that the motors where installed in correctly and the "arms" where contacting the other ones. which is pretty bloody weird...but whatever it works now. Thank you for the page 141 info, tried that first and it didnt correct it, had my BMW buddy go through and get in there and found the problem.
