Question JDM Black wood kit question

I just installed the JDM black wood kit on my 98 GS4. The kit was imported from Japan and I was told it was a direct replacement for the stock burl wood look. The door panels fit perfect, but the center console has a major gap on the left side. Most likely because the Japanes aristo is right hand drive so the center console piece curves in the wrong direction. I switched the center piece out so that it would fit the shifter and the cup holder, but once reinstalled, I had a huge gap on the left top corner below the volume button. The left corner seems too long for the allowable area, so it sticks out about a quarter of an inch. I was wondering has anyone on this forum encountered the same problem and what they did to resolve it???

I'd like to see the pic also.

By the way Mike (MrSypher), I got 2 more black walnut wood samples from wood dask manufacturers at home that I need to take pictures of and post up. One of them matches OK. I still want to do the wood dash like on my last Lexus but this black walnut kit is hard to find a good match.

I thought it was impossible to change the door pieces.

Sam, when you say "ok", does that mean it will work, or it's just the closest you have come to a match??

Mike, the problem with the black walnut that we have and trying to match it is the inconsistency in the pattern. I'm sure you noticed it. Different parts are darker than others. And when you get a small sample, it might look good next some parts of the black walnut and not so good next to others. So when I say it's "OK", I'm saying that it's not a great match but it will look decent. I'll post up pics but I'll also bring the samples again to the next meet. Maybe it will be nice outside and we can get to look at them with some good light.
