Do you have a pic of the whole unit? The way the spider gears look will be a dead give away

Yep the 2nd pic shows it, that is definitely an LSD unit.

I bought one of these a little while ago and now I am going to try and set it up in my GS400 case. Any pics or suggestions for your setup will be greatly appreciated. I presume the bearing and seals should be replaced. Any ideas for a good source for these parts.

How do you know it's a lsd? I see a gold gear in the middle that means it's an open diff right? Supra TT auto lsd don't have a gold gear in the middle and they say if it does it is an open diff. I search online for the info.

In the 2nd picture you posted, see those two helical cut gears through the casing?

If you take it how it is oriented in the 2nd picture, and rotate the whole unit on its horizontal axis, you will see two more sets of these in addition to the first set for a total of these 6 helical gears.

These are the one-way torque gears that lock up when a large amount of spin difference occurs between the two wheels

Open diffs don't have this

Here is a picture:

I just ordered one from Australia, it's in transit. A02B is another identifier for the diff . Following thread. I don't know where to take it to get installed. Also I'm not sure if the swap needs all new rings/bearings/seals etc

Here is a thread where he pulled apart his diff, and swapped just the LSD unit in and swapped ring gears. He has all the seals and bearing part numbers needed.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...installed.html

Ever since I put my 3.76 geared LSD in I am now at a top speed of 135mph and honestly miss the 150mph top end of the 3.23 gear

I am thinking of swapping a 3.23 ring gear back in the diff meaning I'll have to pull the flanges off like in the thread, and swap ring gears
