If this is the stick on type, good luck, but I would guess a pro would start with a hair dryer and carefully see if you can heat it up and get the adhesive to soften enough to get it off and then go after the glue residue with whatever is the least harmful solvent. Really need to be careful and see if the manufacturer has any recommendations before starting in on it. Could wind up being too costly.
Good luck.

There is no way to remove it with out damanging your components. I had my radio replaced and it's still without the trim. I said it doesn't look that bad. The car had the wood trim installed when I purchased it from the dealer.

Afraid of that. I really dislike mods that are that difficult to take off if you don't like them or just get tired of them. At least you guys have better info than I do and I would take it to heart, just live with the wood or be prepared to replace whatever you have to in order to take it out.

I can back up what cxp2001 has said.. I had a defective piece of wood (Cup Holder Door) as part of the complete wood kit and when the lady used a heat gun to take it off it had alot of residue left over but she had some special chemical (Similar to goo gone but industrial strength) to take it off.. Honestly if the piece wasn't being replaced it would of looked like crap.. So I say live with it or find something else to put over it (CF) once you take it off.. Just my 2 cents..
Personally on a black interior the wood kit makes the interior alot more inviting..

Thanks for the info guys......guess i will have to live with it..........it seems to much of a hassle to take it off...so easy to put it on. I might be selling my car later tradeing it for an M3 or so maybe another gs a newer year I am not sure yet
