Key won't turn in trunk lock
Hey,
When I got the car, the trunk would open just by the remote or with the inner trunk release pull, but the key wouldn't go in the lock itself.
I took the lock out today, sprayed it with WD40 and eventualy got the tabs to move and the key goes in all the way now.. but the lock still won't turn and I can't get it out of the barrel to switch the tabs.
Does anyone here have any idea, how to take it apart?

Thing is, you should be able to pull the lock from the "carrier"(the thing I'm holding in the photo) and reset/clean the tabs to match your key... but no natter how much I clean it, the key won't turn and the lock won't come out

pretty common issue, these locks never get used, since everyone uses the remote to open their trunks...lock sees no use so it solidifies itself lol....soak it well in wd40, add a bit of heat, it eventually will free itself,

Mine seized about a year ago. Disappointing because I actually used the non-remote key on it quite regularly for several years until I got a new remote key case. Only took about a couple of months of non-use for the lock to seize up. Plan to take it out one day and un-seize it. Same thing happened to my Camry and I did manage to free it up so I am hoping the G lock will be fixed also.

Yes, I have two keys and both masters.
Btw, the soaking didn't work. I can push the key all the way into the lock, but two of the latches are stuck and won't let the cylinder turn.
