key remote not working after replacing door actuators
Hey guys. I hate to do this because I feel like I'm gonna get flamed, but here it goes:
I'm having trouble with my remote. I have a 2000 GS300. The actuators were bad so I replaced all 4 of them. My remote was working before I started working on them. I replaced all except the passenger front door actuator and my remote was working perfectly. After I replaced the passenger front door actuator, which was the last one for me, my remote has stopped working. Yes, I have tried replacing the battery. Yes, I made sure my battery was the correct one. I also disconnected the negative cable on my car battery, and nothing. Yes, I did do a search, found this thread:

Did the procedures probably over 20 times, and nothing. When I press the buttons on the remote, the red light does light up. I have also tried the procedure to do the rewrite mode, and that didn't help either. I have tried with steps 8 and 9 in the above mentioned thread both inside and outside the car, and it seems like the car does accept the programming, but still the remote does work. I have also spent the last couple days and several hours searching threads and trying different things, but to no avail.
Somebody please help! Otherwise I might have to stop by the dealer in a couple days.
